| Description | GOAL: Build a small energy efficient grow room in a closet for two clones during vegatative growth. The less plants I have the better. I dont want it to seem like i have intent to distribute. I am not excited about even keeping a mommy plant to clone from. I have one 100W MH from home depot. The hydroponic medium is aquarium rocks. The nutrient solution is aerated with a simple aquarium air pump. The bubble stone is at the bottom of a basic plastic container. |

| Square Inch Gardening | The plan is to raise small clones one or two at a time. The plants grow in aquarium rocks with nutrient water in it filled to the top of the rocks. I aerate the roots with an aquarium pump. I am fermenting some apple wine for a simple CO2 generator. Mylar traps as much light as is possible. a lit up room is wasted light. I will place the light at the top of a galvanized HVAC duct but a mylar lined box will work just as well. 100X bulb at 24x7 = $4.50 a month. | 02/15/09 |
| Cheap and Easy Hydro | I filled a cheap plastic container with aquarium gravel. A bubble stone is at the bottom and air is pumped in. Nutrient mix is added to the top of the rocks. This gives stability, perlite is too lite. The roots are thriving from this setup and the plant is very healthy after only 2 days. THe first container has holes in the bottom so I can flush the salts out every week or two. A second container keeps the water in the first container. PH is a little too high so that needs to be lowered but otherwise a good little setup. | 02/15/09 |
